Inaugural GCHS Band 5k - Run for the Roses

We are holding our very first 5k ever as a fundraiser for the Grove City Marching Band this year for we have been chosen to perform in the 2017 Rose Bowl Parade. This is quite an honor. We also have the honor to hold our 5k at Scioto Grove Metro Park in Grove City, OH a brand new Metro Park that has just opened on May 6, 2016! We are the 1st to hold an event like this here! It is a beautiful brand new park!

We also have the honor to hold our 5k at Scioto Grove Metro Park in Grove City, OH a BRAND NEW Metro Park that has just opened on May 6, 2016! We are the 1st to hold an event like this here! It is a beautiful brand new park! Our band is the only one in Ohio that has been chosen to go to the Rose Bowl in 2017! We are quite excited, But is it a very expensive trip to get all 275/300 kids, including directors, chaperones, all of the instruments, props, color guard equipment, uniforms and all the little things in between. Our goal is to get EVERY kid out to California, not everyone may be able to afford it. So we are hoping that with our efforts here this fundraiser can help those that cannot afford it get to go anyways. We do not want to leave any child behind here in Ohio. They work as a team together all year and to leave someone behind would just be devastating for that child and their peers. This is a once in a life time opportunity for most of the kids in the band and we want all of them to experience it together.

Packet Pickup are the following dates and times:

Thursday, June 30th 5-7pm
Friday, July 1st 10am-3pm
Saturday, July 2nd 10am-4pm

Pick up location is at Grove City High School out side of the band room doors under the large trees!
